Competition centre

Guidance towards to the competition centre starts from the road 19, 1km from Härmän Kuntokeskus to Alahärmä. The address of competition centre in Alahärmä is Yliviitalantie 846. Parking is nearby the competion center.



Competition office

Competition office is in a big low red building at the south-wes part of stadium and it locate near to penalty loop. From competition office you can pick race numbers and beforehand reserved rental Emit-cards.

And if your own Emit-card doesn’t work, you can rent a new one at the price of 5€. If rental card disappears, price is 70€.



Service

Changing the clothes takes place at the inside in red building. There are also showers and sauna.



There are restaurant in the competion centre and food plates are celled 8 Eur

-Friday starting at 17 Potato Ham casserole

-Saturday starting at 11 Pasta with minced meat



First aid is in the competition office.



There are possible to buy equipment for weapons and orienteering.



Weapon control

After the competition there is an occasional control. Remember to take off the harness.



Insurance

Every competitor must have their own insurance coverage. Organizer does not take any responsibility of the insurance coverage of the competitors.





Adjustment shooting

Shooting is lead by the chief of shooting. The list of lanes for the teams is at the shooting range. There are 10 competitors on every lane, one black spot for each competitor. During the adjustment shooting it is not possible to visit the targets. After the adjustment shooting weapons must be carried to the weapon racks and placed according to the race number.



Race numbers

Competitors use same race number on both days. Numbers can be picked up at competition office. After the competitions numbers must be returned. If the number

disappears, price is 50€.









Friday 11thof May, sprint distance, interval start

Maps has plastic coverage.

Check the number of your Emit-card at start list. Rental cards can be picked up at competition office. Back up –labels are available at the starting place. At competition center there is a model control and 0-Emit for checking the functioning of your Emit-card.

Control descriptions are printed only on the map. Numbering of controls starts from 1 on also on second leg.

Start

Start is located 800m from competition center. Way to start is marked with yellow signposting. Warming up is allowed only in the road to competion center not in the forest.

10 sec before starting time by the call of official ”Kartat-maps” competitor picks up her/his own map and without looking it walks to the starting line

0 min competition starts, there is a signposting of 20m to the start triangle



Shooting

The first shooting is prone shooting at places 1-12 and the second one is standing shooting at places 13-20. In classes D/H14-16 both shootings are prone shootings. In both shootings competitor has five (5) cartridges and five (5) targets. All five cartridges have to be shot.

Competitor runs along the marked route from the last control of the first orienteering loop to the weapon rack, picks up her/his weapon and runs around the weapon racks and fence counter-clockwise to the shooting range carrying the weapon from barrel, bolt opened and barrel pointing upwards. Competitor may choose her/his shooting lane. Loading the weapon is allowed when competitor has stopped to the shootinglane and the barrel points towards the targets. Competitor gives the map to the official who marks the hits on the map with a marker pen (X-marks). Every missed target means one penalty loop.



After shooting competitor gets her/his map back from the official and returns the weapon to the rack by running around the racks and fence counter-clockwise. After leaving the weapon competitor continues to the penalty loop or in the case of clean shooting straight to the map exchange. In each penalty loop competitor punches once for missed target (table behind the map). After loop(s) competitor continues to the map board, gives away the first map, picks up the second one (marked with her/his number) and runs along the marked route to the new starting triangle.



Action at the second (standing, D/H14-16 prone) shooting is similar to the first shooting, except after clean shooting or penalty loops competitor runs along the marked route to the finish. Remember to punch at the finish line.



Penalty loop

Competitor runs penalty loops right after leaving her/his weapon to weapon rack. Length of lap is 130m in classes M/H21, H20, H35, H40 and 100m in ot

her classes. In every penalty loop competitor punches once for each missed target (table behind the map).



Finish

Finish in situated next to shooting range. Competitor punches at finish line, goes to Emit checking and leaves her/his map and race number to official.

Maps of the Friday’s competition will be returned after Saturday’s competition.



Results

Results will be published at result board and at the website of Alahärmän Kisa (www.alahkisuun.com). When results of the class are ready chief of competition signs them. After that starts protest time. Possible protest must be delivered to the chief of competition within 15 minutes. Decisions in the case of protest are made by jury.



Prize giving ceremony

Championship medals, honor prizes and world cup prizes in classes W/M21 will be given at the competition center. Follow the instructions of the announcer. In classes D/H14 all competitors will be awarded.







Saturday 12thof May, long distance, mass start

Start

Start is located between shooting place and finish line. Mass starts take place by the start list. Interval between start groups is 10 minutes.

5 min before starting time zeroing of Emit-card and moving to waiting area, model map is available

2 min before starting time competitor may walk behind the map which in marked with her/his own race number

0 min competition starts, there is a signposting of 200m to the start triangle.

Warming up is allowed only in the road to competion center.



Shooting

The first shooting is prone shooting at places 1-12 and the second one is standing shooting at Places 13-20. In classes D/H14-16 both shootings are prone shootings. In both shootings competitor has ten (10) cartridges and ten (10) targets. All ten cartridges have to be shot.



Competitor runs along the marked route from the last control of the first orienteering loop to the weapon rack, picks up her/his weapon and runs around the weapon racks and fence counter-clockwise to the shooting range carrying the weapon from barrel, bolt opened and barrel pointing upwards.



Official points the shooting lane to the competitor. Loading the weapon is allowed when competitor has stopped to the shooting lane and the barrel points towards the targets. Competitor gives the map to the official who marks the hits on the map with a marker pen (X-marks). Every missed target means one penalty loop. After five (5) shots competitor shouts “change or vaihto” and official pulls the targets up. Competitor changes the magazine and shoots five (5) more cartridges.



After shooting competitor gets her/his map back from the official and returns the weapon to the rack by running around the racks and advertisement fence counter-clockwise. After leaving the weapon competitor continues to the penalty loop or in the case of clean shooting straight to the map exchange. In each penalty loop competitor punches once for missed target (table behind the map). After loop(s) competitor continues to the mapboard, gives away the first map, picks up the second one (marked with her/his number) and runs along the marked route to the new starting triangle.



At the map exchange there is a water point for competitors. Competitors can also bring their own drinks next to the map board.



Action at the second (standing, D/H14-16 prone) shooting is similar to the first shooting. The third loop of orienteering will be orienteered with a new (third) map.



In classes D/H14 competitors are allowed to use shooting support. Coach can help competitor to carry the weapon and support.



After the competition competitor can pick up her/his weapon from the rack without disturbing other competitors.



Penalty loop

Competitor runs penalty loop(s) right after leaving her/his weapon to weapon rack. Length of lap is 170m in classes M/H21, H20 and H35 and 140m in other classes. In every penalty loop competitor punches once for each missed target (table behind the map).



Finish

Finish in situated next to shooting range. On Saturday the marked route to the finish line comes from directly from last control. Competitor punches at finish line, goes to Emit checking and leaves her/his map and race number to official. If there is a final sprint between two or more competitors the official at the finish line decides

the order.



Take some time and get familiar with the marked routes of the stadium before your competition.
